This one room pioneer building was built around 1860 replacing log church built around 1840 for congregation which had met in Judge Prather's home on nearby Otter Creek from 1816. Church has lights and furnaces in ceiling, all original furnishings, has a labyrinth for reflection in adjacent cemetery. Has always had compost toilet. Turns breakers off between services since installation of new thermostat. Meets quarterly, third Sundays March, June, September, December, usually close to Spring and Fall Equinoxes and Winter and Summer Solstices. Circuit Riders served this congregation and it is still added to a two point charge in South Indiana Conference, Columbus District, Rush Branch Charge, near location of Friendly Persuasion movie setting. Large multitrunk hackberry has presided over entrance for many generations. 7 generations of same family buried in cemetery. This is sustainable Indiana. Contact Susan Heitzman heitzman@seidata.com

Thank you, Troy, for your willingness to sing for Ebenezer. It will be the small congregation that will be blessed by your gift of music. We are so pleased that you took the time to find out about this church. Blessings, The Heitzmans
